Hello friends 💛
Spring has fully arrived here, and everywhere we look the world is waking back up. Flowers are blooming, herbs are stretching toward the sun, and many of the local farms we work with are beginning their fresh seasonal harvests.
Right now, some of our most-loved herbs are being gathered and prepared — including beautiful Calendula (used in our Certified Organic Calendula Salve and Certified Organic Calendula Infused Oil), nourishing Comfrey Leaf (used in our Certified Organic Comfrey Leaf Infused Oil), and soft golden Mullein Flower (used in our Certified Organic Mullein Infused Oil).
There’s something special about working so closely with the rhythms of the seasons. Every year reminds us that herbs are not just products on a shelf — they are living plants with their own timing, cycles, and stories.
And speaking of seasonal treasures…
✨ Cottonwood Bud Season Is Almost Here! ✨
We’ve recently received fresh Cottonwood Buds and are preparing a very limited seasonal batch of our beloved Cottonwood Bud Salve — often known traditionally as “Balm of Gilead.”
Made from the resinous, aromatic buds of Cottonwood and Poplar trees, this salve has long been treasured in herbal traditions for its soothing properties.
Traditionally, Cottonwood Bud Salve has been used to help support:
🌿 Sore muscles and aching joints
🌿 Dry, irritated, or chapped skin
🌿 Minor abrasions and rough patches
🌿 Everyday discomfort and stiffness
Its rich, comforting aroma alone feels like spring captured in a jar. Because Cottonwood Bud is only harvested for a short time each year, this salve is always produced in very limited quantities — and it tends to sell quickly.

Em’s Herbals 🌿✨
For a limited time, our locally harvested Cottonwood Bud Salve is here! One of my favorite things about herbalism is how connected it keeps us to the seasons. Certain plants only offer themselves for a brief window each year, and when they do, it feels like receiving a gift.
A recent migraine, and a soothing warm shower reminded me that healing doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes the most powerful support is also the most accessible.
When the world feels like it’s moving at full speed, many people look for small daily rituals that bring them back to center. For centuries, herbs have played that role — not as magic fixes, but as gentle plant allies that support rest, resilience, and balance.
