Spearmint essential oil has a minty, spicy scent that is lighter and sweeter than Peppermint. It is considered a top note for blending purposes.

Spearmint essential oil is refreshing and often used to reduce stress or relieve headaches. It's great for digestive issues as well. Like many essential oils, it has antimicrobial properties; combined with its appealing flavor and fragrance, this has made it a common ingredient in toothpaste, oral care products, and chewing gum. 

Our essential oils are sold in amber glass bottles with a dropper orifice for drop-by-drop administration. Do not ingest essential oils unless under the guidance of a licensed health care practitioner or experienced aromatherapist. Essential oils should always be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin. (Some examples of carrier oils: Jojoba, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rosehip Seed, Castor, and Avocado; gently liquified Coconut Oil, Shea, or Cocoa Butter can also work for creating thicker body care products.) Always test the diluted essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying more widely.

The maximum recommended strength for topical use of Spearmint essential oil is 1.7% (five drops per three teaspoons of carrier oil).
