Helichrysum italicum essential oil has a scent often described as sweet, woody, and warm. For blending purposes it is considered a middle to base note. It is valued for its balancing effects on emotions, easing anger and destructive feelings, and for facilitating recovery from illness and fatigue.

Helichrysum is noted as a source of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial compounds, and is widely used in skin care products to reduce wrinkles, scars, and blemishes, including our Facial Beauty Oil. It can be helpful for allergy symptoms such as hives, as well as for relieving spasms.

Our essential oils are sold in amber glass bottles with a dropper orifice for drop-by-drop administration. Do not ingest essential oils unless under the guidance of a licensed health care practitioner or experienced aromatherapist. Essential oils should always be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin. (Some examples of carrier oils: Jojoba, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rosehip Seed, Castor, and Avocado; gently liquified Coconut Oil, Shea, or Cocoa Butter can also work for creating thicker body care products.) Always test the diluted essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying more widely.

Maximum recommended dilution for adults: 5% (five drops per teaspoon of carrier oil).
