Peppermint essential oil has a wonderful cooling, minty scent. For blending purposes it is considered a top note.

Peppermint essential oil has many uses! It aids alertness and focus, improves athletic performance, clears nasal and sinus congestion, and calms digestive upsets, nausea, and cramps. Its pain-relieving effects are helpful for headaches and sore muscles. Peppermint's antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory actions, along with its fresh taste, make it a favorite addition to oral care products. 

Our essential oils are sold in amber glass bottles with a dropper orifice for drop-by-drop administration. Do not ingest essential oils unless under the guidance of a licensed health care practitioner or experienced aromatherapist. Essential oils should always be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin. (Some examples of carrier oils: Jojoba, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rosehip Seed, Castor, and Avocado; gently liquified Coconut Oil, Shea, or Cocoa Butter can also work for creating thicker body care products.) Always test the diluted essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying more widely.

Maximum recommended dilution for adults topical use: 5% (five drops per teaspoon of carrier oil).
