EGYPT. Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) Essential Oil, Steam Distilled
Geranium's scent is described as floral, sweet, and slightly herbal. For blending purposes, it is considered a middle note.
Geranium essential oil can have a remarkably soothing effect for anxiety and depression, and it has shown results in helping to heal some difficult-to-treat bacterial infections. It's especially valued as an astringent and antimicrobial ingredient for blends addressing skin conditions including wrinkles and acne.
Our essential oils are sold in amber glass bottles with a dropper orifice for drop-by-drop administration. Do not ingest essential oils unless under the guidance of a licensed health care practitioner or experienced aromatherapist. Essential oils should always be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin. (Some examples of carrier oils: Jojoba, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rosehip Seed, Castor, and Avocado; gently liquified Coconut Oil, Shea, or Cocoa Butter can also work for creating thicker body care products.) Always test the diluted essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying more widely.
The maximum recommended strength for topical use of Geranium essential oil is 17% (17 drops per teaspoon of carrier oil).
