Pure Comfrey Leaf Infused Oil, Certified Organic

Fresh organic Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) Leaf, hand-harvested and infused into organic Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) Oil. This oil comes from fresh leaves, grown at a nearby organic farm, and is made in small batches, infused into organic Jojba and Sunflower oil. All our oils are infused for a minimum of one month to insure potency. This is a seasonal product, so when we’re out, we’re out!

Comfrey Leaf has been used for a variety of ailments for many generations. Comfrey leaves have little hairs all over, similar to the little hairs all over our skin! Comfrey has a great reputation as a topical aid for stimulating cell growth in skin abrasions, broken bones, and injured cartilage or tendons. This is an excellent oil to use in massage, or in your own skin-healing salve creations!

This oil is not recommended for using on deep puncture wounds as it can cause healing of the surface skin, trapping harmful bacteria inside. However for superficial scratches, abrasions, and scrapes, it's terrific for speeding the process. Both the Comfrey leaf and root are used medicinally in different preparations. Internal use of Comfrey (or of infused oils in general) is not recommended. Always consult a qualified herbalist with any questions you may have when using herbs. Common sense is also highly encouraged!
