PACIFIC NORTHWEST GROWN. Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus) Root, Cut and Sifted, Certified Organic
Yellow dock (Rumex crispus) is a common plant that can be found in disturbed areas. It grows a ‘yellow’ root which is actually due to the high iodine content.
This plant is in the same family at Burdock, which is also a Rumex species, and grows a long taproot. The plant grows leaves in a basal formation from the ground, and sends up a flower stock. Dock plants are easily identifiable in fall and winter because the stem and seed heads are visible through out the dormant season. Yellow Dock is a bitter and particular for detox formulas and liver support. This is a food safe root that can help push the liver to help move toxins.
