Yarrow Essential Oil has a spicy/sweet fragrance and is considered a middle note for blending purposes.

Yarrow is well known for its wound-healing properties, and topical use of the essential oil can help to reduce scarring, stop bleeding, and prevent infection. It is rich in the anti-inflammatory sesquiterpene chamazulene, and has been used for muscle cramps and injuries, arthritis, menstrual irregularities, nasal and chest congestion, and skin conditions such as eczema and acne. Yarrow is calming and may help with insomnia.

Our essential oils are sold in amber glass bottles with a dropper orifice for drop-by-drop administration. Do not ingest essential oils unless under the guidance of a licensed health care practitioner or experienced aromatherapist. Essential oils should always be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied to the skin. (Some examples of carrier oils: Jojoba, Sunflower, Grapeseed, Rosehip Seed, Castor, and Avocado; gently liquified Coconut Oil, Shea, or Cocoa Butter can also work for creating thicker body care products.) Always test the diluted essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying more widely.

Maximum recommended dilution for adults: 8% (eight drops per teaspoon of carrier oil).
